Briar is in public beta. Play free, explore the library, and help us spot the rough edges.
What does Beta mean?
The site is still being tested and improved. A Beta badge on an individual game means that game is also in development: levels, balance and features may change. An update can sometimes reset progress; check the game’s save information before playing.
Will my progress be saved?
Each game describes what it saves on its page. Saves, favorites and recent history belong to this browser on this device. When possible, Briar keeps an additional local copy of game data on the portal’s address to help restore missing game storage. This is not a cloud backup and does not sync across devices, browsers or website addresses.
Keep using the same browser and website address. Private browsing, clearing site data, a full storage quota or the browser removing stored data can lose progress. If the player shows a storage or backup warning, the extra copy may not be available after you leave. Avoid clearing site data to troubleshoot a loading problem.
Can I play on my phone?
Most games support touch. Games marked Desktop only need a computer and appear last in mobile browsing. Each game lists its controls and any orientation guidance. Mobile support varies by device and browser; a Beta badge is separate from device support.
How does fullscreen work?
Use the expand button beside the game. Where native fullscreen is unavailable, Briar expands the player to the browser window. Your browser may keep its own address or status bars visible. Rotate your device when the game recommends landscape, and use the exit control to return.
Why did a preview stop or not play?
Previews are muted and stop when they leave view or the tab is hidden. Automatic previews respect reduced-motion and supported data-saving preferences. Your browser can also block autoplay; the cover and Play now button still work. A preview is a recording, not a running game.
A game will not load, or something looks wrong
Check the listed controls and device support, then try the player’s Retry action or reload the page. On the affected game page, use the flag button to report a loading, control, sound or content problem. Reports contain a category and game release, with no name, email or free-text details, so we cannot send a personal reply.
Do I need an account?
No. The current arcade has no player accounts, purchases, gameplay ads, public comments or chat. Tap a heart to save a favorite in My Games. You can change basic gameplay measurement preferences on the Privacy page.
